A welcoming ceremony for the President of Azerbaijan was held at the residence of the President of Georgia

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Georgia on a state visit together with a delegation.

The official welcoming ceremony for Ilham Aliyev was held at Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport.

At the airport, the President of Azerbaijan was met by Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Bochorishvili.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will be hosted at the Government Administration by the Prime Minister of Georgia. Meetings between Irakli Kobakhidze and Ilham Aliyev will be held both one-on-one and in an expanded format, after which the leaders will make joint statements to the media.

As part of the state visit to Georgia, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan will lay a wreath at the Heroes’ Memorial on Heroes Square and will also pay tribute to the memory of Azerbaijan’s national leader, Heydar Aliyev.
