According to the Roads Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Georgia, based on information from the National Environmental Agency, the avalanche danger level is high on the Gudauri–Kobi section of the international Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Lars highway, therefore traffic for all types of vehicles is temporarily prohibited on this section.
According to the National Environmental Agency, traffic on the Mleta–Gudauri section will be allowed only in a non-stop transit mode.
